Visit to Bry-Air Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram

Department of Mechanical Engineering, MAIT organized an Industrial Visit to Bry-Air Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram on 23rd August 2025. The visit offered students an exclusive opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies in dehumidification, air purification, and plastic auxiliary equipment.

Highlights of the Visit:

  • Warm welcome & company introduction
  • Guided tour of manufacturing and assembly units
  • Live demonstrations of Desiccant Dehumidifiers (FFB, FLi, BrySmart® Series), Wonder Dryers, DataCenter Air Purifiers (DAP Series with DRISORB™ Filters), and Plastic Auxiliary Systems
  • Insights into modern filtration systems and Bry-Air’s in-house production approach
  • Interactive Q&A session with industry experts

A total of 26 students participated and gained invaluable industrial exposure, bridging the gap between theory and practical applications.

A memorable and insightful visit to Relaxo Footwear Company as part of our ongoing academic collaboration. From innovation in design to sustainability in manufacturing — the visit offered invaluable learnings straight from industry leaders. Dr. Surbhi Upadhyay, Dr. Anil kr. Dahiya, Dr. Piu Jain and Dr. Garima Sharma visited industry on 09/July/2025 to engage directly with on-ground teams and it helped to gain valuable insights and align on practical, performance-driven solutions.

It was a great opportunity to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Academic-Industry Collaboration Visit – Mitutoyo India Pvt. Ltd.

As part of our continuous efforts to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, Mr. R.C. Saini and Dr. Anil Kumar Dahiya visited Mitutoyo India Pvt. Ltd. on 24 June 2025, a global leader in precision measuring instruments and metrology solutions. The visit provided valuable exposure to advanced measurement technologies and quality assurance systems used in modern manufacturing. Direct interactions with industry professionals offered deep insights into real-world applications and emerging trends in precision engineering.

This experience will significantly contribute to aligning academic learning with practical industry requirements, helping us better prepare students for future-ready careers.

Visit to Haier Appliances Pvt Ltd, Greater Noida

On 22nd April 2025, the students of Mechanical Engineering, MAIT Delhi embarked on an insightful industrial visit to the Haier Industrial Park, Greater Noida — a cutting-edge facility at the forefront of innovation in manufacturing and smart home solutions. During the visit, students explored modern industrial practices and gained firsthand exposure to the application of IoT-based technology in refrigeration and air conditioning systems — a testament to how smart connectivity is reshaping the future of climate control and appliance efficiency. The visit was enriched by the guidance of our dedicated faculty mentors, Dr. Piu Jain and Dr. Surbhi Upadhyay, whose support added great academic value to the experience.

Visit to Shri Ram Pistons & Piston Rings Ltd., Ghaziabad

On 16th April 2025, our Mechanical Engineering students had the incredible opportunity to explore the manufacturing heart of Shri Ram Pistons & Piston Rings Ltd., Ghaziabad – one of India’s top automotive component manufacturers. From witnessing advanced robotics and precision machining, to learning about alloy compositions and cutting-edge R&D, the visit offered a deep dive into the real-world production of pistons, piston rings, pins, and valves.

Highlights:

  • 20+ production lines with 15+ lakh pistons/month output
  • Insight into materials like KS 1295, RIK 40, and SPR-02
  • Compatibility with gasoline, diesel, CNG, LNG, flex-fuel, and hydrogen engines
  • Exposure to gravity die casting, ultrasonic testing, molycoating, and more!

This hands-on experience bridged classroom theory with industrial application and opened doors to exciting future career paths. ?

Visit to Relaxo Footwears Limited , Bahadurgarh

An industrial visit to RELAXO FOOTWEARS LIMITED , Bahadurgarh, was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi. This visit provided invaluable insights into the manufacturing process of one of India’s leading footwear brands. The students witnessed the entire production chain, from raw material processing to the final product, gaining a deeper understanding of the technology, machinery, and quality control systems that ensure high standards in mass production. It was fascinating to observe the level of automation and precision involved in each step of production. This visit bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, showing how concepts like lean manufacturing, material handling, and process optimization are implemented in the industry.

ASHRAE Technical Session

The students of Mechanical Branch MAIT along with Dr. Vaibhav Jain, received the opportunity to attend a technical session on "Better HVAC Design through ASHRAE Standard 62.1" at Hotel Imperial, Janpath on 26 Aug 2024. It was an informative session regarding design and importance of ventilation system to control indoor Air Quality.

Visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. , Sonipat , Haryana

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology arranged an industrial visit for ME students to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. , Sonipat, Haryana ,on 9th May 2024. A batch of 37 students along with 5 faculty members visited the factory. The visit started at 11 AM. They took us to the presentation hall and introduced us their product Yakult, which is a probiotic fermented milk drink, stating its need ,advantages, production process and global market. They also gave sample of their drink i.e. Yakult (red)and Yakult light(blue), to the students. This probiotic fermented milk drink contains L.casei Shirota (SHIROTA strain) probiotic bacteria, which keeps the gut healthy, strong and boost immunity. A single Yakult bottle of 65ml consists of 6.5billion L.casei Shirota (SHIROTA strain) bacteria. They provided us the opportunity to explore and observe their fully automated production process. It took only 30 min to explore the production process divided into seeding zone, mixing zone and control/testing zone. This visit offered us a chance to observe their innovative and fully automated production line, and also provided an insight of their business model and market strategies.


 Visit to Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL), Bawana

Departments of ME organized an industrial visit to Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL), Bawana on May 4th, 2024. The power plant is one of the gas based power plants with the capacity of 1500 MW. The visit is attended by 40 students of both the departments accompanied by 4 faculty members. The outcomes of this Industrial Visit:

  1. Students learnt the functioning and components of a gas based power plant.
  2. Students understood the gas to the electricity cycle.
  3. Students understood the best and sustainable practices in running a gas based power plant.

Students understood better the concept of Power Station Practices.

Visit to Emerson-Copeland Cold Chain Limited

Department of ME in association with ASHRAE India Chapter organised an industrial visit to Emerson-Copeland Cold Chain Limited, Gurgaon on 24th November 2023. Emerson Copeland is a leading compressor manufacturing HVAC&R company. Purpose was to provide students with practical exposure to compressor manufacturing and HVAC&R systems, bridging the gap between theory and industry practice. Students gained insights into operations at Emerson-Copeland Cold Chain Limited, fostering networking opportunities and potentially opening doors to internships and future careers in the field.

 Visit to Fujiyama Power Systems Private Limited

Prof. M L Sharma, Prof. V N Mathur, Dr. Vaibhav Jain, Dr. K C Tripathi, and Ms. Nidhi Sengar from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology undertook a visit to Fujiyama Power Systems Private Limited on November 17, 2023. The objective was to gain firsthand insights into the automated plant for solar panels, solar inverter production, and lithium battery manufacturing processes. The visit aimed at fostering collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors, bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Visit to Jindal SAW Limited

An industrial visit to Jindal SAW Limited, Kosi Kalan was organized on 23 September, 2023 for students of Mechanical Engineering Department. 50 students accompanied with 4 faculty members of ME Dept. attended the same. They showed the fabrication of pipes through GMAW and submerged arc welding processes and cold forming process. They explained in detail the various intermediate processes and the testing techniques used in checking of fabricated pipes. This industrial visit was an educational trip where students learned new techniques and had practical learning about the theoretical concepts.

Visit to Shriram Pistons and Rings Pvt Ltd

Department of ME, MAIT organized an industrial visit at Shriram Pistons and Rings Pvt Ltd, Ghaziabad on 2 June 2023. 40 students of ME participated in the same. Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of various products, such as pistons and piston pins, piston rings, and engine valves. The company caters to both domestic and international markets. The principal business of the company is Automobile Piston Assemblies.

Virtual Visit to EDGETECH Air Systems

The Students of ME Deptt, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology joined the Virtual Industrial visit of EDGETECH Air Systems (a leading manufacturer of Air Handling Units) organized by ASHRAE India Chapter at 11.00 a.m, 6 May 2023.

Visit to Air Flow Pvt. Ltd, Greater Noida 

Industrial visit is a part of the educational tour which provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. An industrial visit to Air Flow Pvt. Ltd, Greater Noida was organized on 26th May, 2022 for students of Mechanical Engineering Department. 20 students accompanied with 2 faculty members of ME Department attended the same. Department instructed the students about the processing and productions of the AIR FLOW Pvt. Ltd. The students got excited and curious after reaching at same. After the mandatory security check, students were taken to the conference room where they were guided about the whole plant. At the company, the students were briefed about the exhaust and ventilation fan manufacturing process by their technical staff. Mr. Abhishek and Mr. Arun (PO) gave presentation related to the history of AIR FLOW and its operations and production to the students. Students were taken around the plant and were explained about the production and operations process. Then students were taken around various divisions and explained about the operations in each division. The shearing, bending, fitting, assembling and many other processes was shown. After the lab processing the students went for the balancing units and storage warehouse. The students were guided about the Research and Development department and were shown the Propulsion Jet and its uses. Overall it was highly interactive and learning visit for the students on the concepts related to production and operations in a large manufacturing plant.


Virtual Industry Visit of 'Advance Valve Solutions'

ASHRAE MAIT Students got an opportunity to visit an industry 'Advance Valve Solutions' virtually on August 21, 2021. The visit was organized by ASHRAE India Chapter and was supported by various ASHRAE chapters all over the country. This virtual visit provided the students with knowledge about various types of valves used in industry. Besides this, different kinds of machining processes like milling, drilling, boring, etc. were also shown for better understanding of students.
