Overview 

The Department of Mechanical Engineering proudly announces the establishment of the Advanced HVAC&R Skill Development Centre, sponsored by Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. This Centre of Excellence (CoE) marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) sector.

With the process already underway and several equipment deliveries received, the Centre is being developed to offer state-of-the-art infrastructure and industry-standard tools. It will act as a hub for hands-on training, research, and innovation, aligning with the rapidly evolving HVAC landscape.

Key Objectives

  • Industry-Oriented Skill Development
    To impart practical, industry-relevant skills that align with the latest HVAC&R technologies and standards.
  • Enhancing Employability & Fostering Entrepreneurship
    To empower students with the knowledge and experience required to excel in professional roles or pursue entrepreneurial ventures in HVAC&R.
  • Training in Advanced & Smart Technologies
    To provide exposure to cutting-edge systems including Inverter and VRV technologies, smart controls, and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Curriculum Enrichment & Faculty Development
    To enhance academic curricula through real-time learning modules and support continuous upskilling of faculty members.

Equipments:

As part of the CoE setup, Daikin will install and supply the following advanced equipments:

  • Inverter and Non-Inverter Split Air Conditioning Units
  • Cassette Air Conditioning Units
  • VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) Systems
  • Sky Air duct
  • Deep Freezers
  • Air Purifiers

This diverse range of equipment will allow comprehensive training across various HVAC&R applications and system types.
