Lab Overview:

The Mitutoyo Metrology Lab is an advanced facility established with generous support of Rs.5,00,000/- from Mitutoyo South Asia Pvt. Ltd. to promote precision measurement and quality control education among Mechanical Engineering students. This lab provides hands-on experience with high-accuracy measuring instruments, empowering students to perform dimensional inspection, geometric tolerance analysis, and precision evaluation of manufactured components.

The lab plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between theoretical understanding and industrial practice in metrology. It supports students in their academic coursework, industrial projects, research work, and participation in national-level competitions. One notable utilization includes its role in Team Jatayu's ATV manufacturing, where accurate measurements were key to achieving optimal fit, tolerance, and performance.

The lab is fully equipped with air conditioning and LAN connectivity, offering a conducive and modern environment for precision learning.
